For the first one, the graph shows a total of 12 representatives across all 5 categories, and of those, 2 are from the west this is the fraction 2/12, or the answer A) 1/6, meaning that 1 in 6 of the representatives are going to be from the western region.
For number 2, the answer is A) If you flip a coin 800 times, heads will come up about 400 times. This is because the law of large numbers says that as the number gets larger the ratio will get closer to 1:1. This means that since the coin only has 2 sides, it is about 50/50, meaning that of 800, 400 would be heads and 400 would be tails.
