Japan bombed pearl harbor on December 7, 1941.

They attacked pearl harbor because it was a U.S. naval base. They destroyed 19 ships, 188 aircraft and killing over 2,000 Americans. Another reason why they may have bombed pearl harbor is to drive the United States into WW2. I hope this helps.

Have a wonderful rest of the day :).

For Plato users:

1. Destroyed eight battleships

2. Declared war the next day

3. Used Kamikaze pilots

4. Launched attack during peace negotiations

Number 2 was taken by the United States.

Numbers 1, 3, and 4 were taken by Japan.
