there are 15 vegetables in the garden. They are planted in rows of 5. There are 2 carrot plants and 3 potato plants in each row.how many carrot plants are in the garden?

There are 10 carrot plants in the garden.

Explanation:

Total number of vegetables = 15

Number of rows = 5

Now in each row, we have

number of carrot plants = 2

number of potato plants = 3

Since, there are 5 rows hence, the number of carrot plants in the garden is sum of carrot plants in 5 rows.

in 1st row number of carrot plants = 2

in 2nd row number of carrot plants = 2

in 3rd row number of carrot plants = 2

in 4th row number of carrot plants = 2

in 5th row number of carrot plants = 2

Hence, total carrot plants is

2 + 2 + 2 + 2 +2

= 10

Hence, there are 10 carrot plants in the garden.
