I'd like to edit a picture so that I can remove the background behind an object and have it replaced with a transparent background instead.

How can I do this?

You can download app in app store/play store (an app I recommend that you use is in the comments)

And erase the background and save as PNG file

Here, the most appropriate way without any special software or Photoshop would be by your own system with the use of Powerpoint.

You can easily remove the background with the use of Powerpoint. Here are the steps:

1) Open your powerpoint, Click on "Insert" and select the picture from your files.

2) Now, as you've uploaded a pic, "Picture format" tab would appear in your home ribbon, so click on "Remove background" under the section.

3) Now, by the use of Cursor, try to Mark your boundaries, You should be careful for this step in order to provide more accuracy for the operation.

4) After adjustments, click "Keep changes" button, and now your pic is READY!
