( 8,7) your original #'s are 3,4 right you need to add 5 to the first number which is 3 (5+3=8) okay 8 is your first coordinate now add 3 to your secod number ( 4+3=7) So your new location of Point A is (8,7)

answer is (8,1)
x axis which is 3 originally is shifted by 5 units to the right so it becomes (3+5 =8)
y axis which is 4 originally is shifted by 3 units downwards ( in negative direction) so it becomes (4-3 = 1)
therefore point is translated to (8,1)
