Green paper > 18 / 3 = 6 inch pieces

Red paper > 24 / 6 = 4 pieces of paper

total = 4 + 3 = 7 piece of paper in total :)

Answer:

The answer is 7 pieces.

Explanation:

The length of the green strip of paper = 18 inches

Given that she cut the green paper into three pieces with equal lengths. This means each piece was =
(18)/(3)=6 inches long

The length of the red paper strip = 24 inches

Now Nadia cut this red strip with the same length as each cut piece of green paper, that means 6 inches.

So, total number of red strips =
(24)/(6)=4 strips

Hence, the total number of pieces of red and green paper did Nadia have in total are = 3+4 =7 pieces.
