True. American Isolationism during the 20s means that America distanced itself from global affairs via laws limiting immigration, and high tariffs. But those same policies led the US deep into the Great Depression. Bad government policies, such as high tariffs, low pressure in anti-trust laws and an absence of checks on speculation in real estate and the stock market, caused the Great Depression and its duration.
