Compound light microscopes will definitely not be able to see a carbon atom or dna molecule based on common sense that one would need are much more intense (and expensive) microscope to see those. Of the two remaining options, cork cells are your best bet because sugar molecules are also very small, but cells of plants are generally large enough to see under light microscopes.
