Hey there!

In order to simplify this expression, all we have to do is multiply 4 times x and -2:

4x-8

Notes:

\circ We can't simplify this expression anymore, because 4x and -8 are not like terms.

\circ A negative times a positive is a negative.

Hope everything is clear.
