Here, we want to select pairs of alternate interior angles

Mathematically, the angles that can obey this are positioned as shown in the image below;

These two angles are alternate interior angles to each other

So the angles having this relationship with the angle marked 6 is what we will select

These angles are;

3 and 6 have this relationship

Also, angle 15 and 3 have this relationship too
