First you just multiply 3/5x2/2=6/10. Then you just compare the two. 7/10 (Larry's house) is 1/10 bigger than Katie's house (6/10).
Therefore, Larry's house is closer to Brianna by 1/10.

Ok so what you want to do is get the fraction to have the same denominator. Since 5 can become 12 by multiplying it by 2 it is easy to do. Now you have equal denominators you have to multiply the numerator by 2 aswell. So now you have 6/10 and 7/10. So Larry is 1/10 closer to Brianna's house then Katie. Hope this helps!
