you would have to multiply 11*4=44 which also equals 44/3; the answer. To draw the bar model, draw thirds; 15 one-third wholes, in fact and shade in 44 of the 45 one-thirds.

Answer:

We are given that,

Length of the eraser =
1(1)/(3)=(4)/(3) inches.

Then, the length of the pen is 4 times the length of the eraser gives,

Length of the pen =
4* (4)/(3)=(16)/(3) inches

So, we get that,

Length of eraser =
(4)/(3) inches.

Length of pen =
(16)/(3) inches.

So, the corresponding bar model is given as below.

Draw a bar model that shows a pen is 4 times as long as an eraser that is 1 1/3 inches-example-1
