83=(3)2-6(3)-(-92)
83=6-18-(-92)
the two negative make a positive
83=(-12)+92
83=80
the point does not satisfy

plug in 83 for y and 3 for x
83 = 3^2 - 6 (3) + 92
83 = 9 - 18 + 92
83 = -9 + 92
83 = 83 so it works
