First you can find the area of the 4 rectangles attached to the square by doing 1.5 × 0.5 = 0.75, and because there are 4 identical rectangles we can just multiply this by 4 to get 3m². All that remains now is the square in the middle, which is 1.5 × 1.5 = 2.25m². 3 + 2.25 = 5.25m². Because you cannot have 0.25 bags, you need to round up to 6 bags, which is your final answer. I hope this helps!
