The perimeter of a rectangular field is 354 yards. If the width of the field is 82 yards, what is its length?

The perimeter is all the sides added up together.
So the width would be 82 and the side parallel is 82.
So 82+82= 164
Then subtract from the perimeter.
354-162 = 192
To find the width you divide 192 by 2.
The answer is 92 yards.

2w + 2l = 354 where w = width and l = length
so we have
2*82 + 2l = 354
2l = 254 - 2*82 = 190
l = 95

length is 95 yards
