In order to find the scale factor from the pre-image you take the sides you know, in this case they are A,D and 'A,'D, which are 8 and 20, and then put them into a fraction form, 8/20, and then simplefie it by dividing it by the biggest number that can fit into both numbers which is 4. then divided both numbers by 4.

8 ÷ 4 = 2

20 ÷ 4 = 5

The Answer = 2/5
