paralelll ines have same slope
y=mx+b
m=slope

so
y=-3x-8
slope=-3
so the equation of the line is y=-3x+b, where b is a constant

Solution:

Equation of line I J is given as :

y = - 3 x -8

The equation of line parallel to , y= m x + c is given by

y = m x + k.

Because if two lines are parallel , then their slopes are equal.

So, equation of line parallel to , y = - 3 x -8 is given by

y = - 3 x + K

Where , K = y - intercept.
