a sudden and temporary lack of blood flow to the brain is caused by both a blood clot and a blockage in the artery. that is considered a stroke. a cardiac arrest has to do with your heart. Hope I helped you out ;)

stroke because the waxy substance builds up in arteries causing a blockage leading to a stroke.
