To find the answer, first find the area of the triangle, which is 1/2bh=A, so if you put the base and the height is it would be 1/2(22*10)=A or 1/2(220)=110. So the area is 110ft^2. If you then divide 110/8 to find out how many 8 ft^2 are in 110 ft^2 you get 13.75.
The answer is 14 bags.

Answer:

Option
14\ bags

Explanation:

Step 1

Find the area of the triangle

we know that

The area of a triangle is equal to

A=(1)/(2)bh

in this problem we have

b=22\ ft

h=10\ ft

substitute

A=(1)/(2)(22)(10)=110\ ft^(2)

Step 2

By proportion

(1)/(8)(bag)/(ft^(2))=(x)/(110)(bag)/(ft^(2)) \\ \\x=110/8\\ \\x=13.75\ bags

Round to the nearest whole number
