What do we learn about Elie Wiesel and what he is interested in, especially when he seeks out Moshe?

Describe 2 details Moshe gives about his experience when he was taken by the Gestapo (the secret police of Nazi Germany) and how the people reacted to these warnings.

How did Moshe change after his escape, and why is this worth noting?

Describe the “liquidation of the ghetto” (when the Jews were deported from the ghetto) on pages 14-19, and explain how it affected everyone.

Answer:

Moishe returned back home and tried to warm people about the German and Hungary polices' incoming, but the people thought that he was seeking attention and their pity.

Moishe became melancholic after his escape. he no longer sang, no longer talked about God, and he tried to inform people, but no one believed him. This is worth noting since the German quickly appeared in town soon after Moishe's warning.

the liquidation of the ghetto left everyone in shock, which caused them to be in denial that they're being transported to a concentration camp.
