5 divided by 4.25=1.17 then 8 divided by 6.56 1.21 so 4.25 is cheaper. Since 1.17 is cheaper then 1.21

Divide the price by the quantity to see what's a better deal.
4.25 / 5 = 0.85
So, for each apple it costs 85 cents.
6.56 / 8 = 0.82
So, for each apple it costs 82 cents.
So, the $6.56 for 8 pounds of apples is the better deal.
