and the total charges be A

A=25+300t----------------1

Company B charges $50 per hour and a $150 equipment fee.

let the number of hours be t

and the total charges be B

y=50+150t----------------2

Equate 1 and 2 we have

25+300t= 50+150t

300t-150t= 50-25

150t= 25

divide both sides by 150

t= 25/150

t=1/6 hours
