2x^2 - 9x + 16 = 6
2x^2 - 9x + 16 - 6 = 0
2x^2 - 9x + 10 = 0
(2x - 5)(x - 2) = 0
2x - 5 = 0
2x = 5
x = 5/2
x = 2.5
x - 2 = 0
x = 2
answer x = 2 and x = 2.5
