How do you Simplify fractions

in order to simplify a fraction you must find a gcf and divide the numerator and denominator by that number. for example:

4/8 has a gcf of 4, so 4 divided by 4 equals 1 and 8 divided by 4 equals 2 so your simplified fraction would be 1/2
