can be demonstrated by natural eutrophication
are always immediate and lethal
can magnify over time within food chains

eutrophication is always a major problem to water pollution. algae will appear on top of water and blocks oxygen for sea animals and take the nutrients. also if the water is contaminated, weaker sea animals cannot survive in the change in pH
