If you're trying to get b by itself, divide 14b by 14, so that b is left alone, since the opposite of multiplying 14 by b, is dividing 14 by b to get b alone. So now,
b = 42 divided by 14, which is 3. Tell me if it doesn't make sense, hope this helps!

You'll want to divide both sides by 14 in order to get your answer :)Good luck!
