Vanessa left a 15% tip for her waiter. If she left $3.00 what is the amount of the bill?

Assuming that there wasn't any tax, I believe the bill would have been 20. You set up a proportion like this: 3.00/x = 15/100. Then you cross multiply, 3 • 100 = 300, and 300 ÷ 15 = 20. I hope that I did that correctly and that it helps!

Since the tip was 15% and she left $3.00, Vanessa's meal had to be $19.99
