He kept their loyalty by giving them gifts. And he died on August 18, 1227.

His better idea was to join the tribes all together.
By making claiming himself to leadership, he was repaying their loyalty to them with gifts, delegating authority, he was being lenient to them as well.
He died on August 18, 1227
