The volume of the ball is: V = 4/3 π r³

Diameter of the ball is: d = 3 in
Radius of the ball is half of its diameter: r = d/2 = 3 in /2 = 1.5 in

Since π = 3.14 = r = 1.5 in, the volume of the ball is
V = 4/3 * 3.14 * 1.5³ = 4/3 * 3.14 * 3.375 = 14.13 in³
