\begin{gathered} 5x+36=x \\ 5x-x+36=x-x \\ 4x+36=0 \\ \end{gathered}
\begin{gathered} 4x+36-36=0-36 \\ 4x=-36 \end{gathered}
x=-(36)/(4)=-9

x=-9
