At the sounvier shop, each stuffed elephant was on sale for $5 off. Matrix bought 3 of them for $45. How much did each stuffed elephant cost? Which equation could be used to represent this situation?

A)3s-5=45
B) 3(s+5)=45
C)3(s-5)=45
D) 3s+ 45=10

The answer is that C)3(s-5)=45

the answer should be C. just expand it to see it, so answer C is actually 3s - 3x5= 45. as each toy has 5 off, he bought 3, so we have to minus 3x5 aka 15 when calculating the total. and of course, the original price S just multiply that by 3.
