In Paragraph 6 King says, "Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst by for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred." To what extent in this speech does King follow his own suggestion? Answer and Explanation:

1. In that sentence, King was greatly influenced by Ghandi's words, but he follows his own suggestion not to encourage violence, separation and suppression of the white population, not even those who were against civil rights. In this case, King says that freedom will not arise from hatred and bitterness, so his listeners should pursue civil rights with calm, patience, love and peace.

2. King decided to be greater than oppression, breaking down oppression as something victorious, uncomfortable and capable of stopping the struggle of those who are committed to freedom and justice.
