Jot down ideas for the following assignment

You have been asked to write a description of your college for the governor of your state. Your purpose is to persuade him/her to spend more money to improve your college. What information should you include? What will your audience want to know? What information should you leave out?

You should include the name of the school, what its main subjects are, what you would be taking there, how much money the school gets now, how many students attend per year, reasons this school should be supported

Your audience would want to know why this college is especially important when compared to other colleges. They're convinced that their college is #1, so you have to persuade them.

You should leave out:

Personal information (why you are interested in your major, your address lol, etc)
Unrelated statistics (96% of people who apply to this college get in)
Irrelevant information (By the way, I like cats)

Hope this helps :)
