5x^3 + 3x^2 - 7x + 10) - (3x^3 - x^2 + 4x - 1) =
5x^3 + 3x^2 - 7x + 10 - 3x^3 + x^2 - 4x + 1 =
2x^3 + 4x^2 - 11x + 11 = 3rd degree polynomial with 4 terms

9w - 4w^2 + 10+ 8w^2 + 7 + 5w =
4w^2 + 14w + 17 = 2nd degree polynomial with 3 terms
