The answer is B.The reason is that Elinor , instead of admitting she has feelings, strong feelings for Edward, Marianne expresses a dull connection to him.Marianne knows her sister is controlling herself not to show any passion. She is horrified and cannot believe she reacts that way.Besides, it is the main theme in the story by Jane Austen; Marianne is sentimental and Elinor is more of a sensible lady who tries to protect herself from being hurt.
