Answer:

they drank the same amount, they just used different measurements to prove it.

Explanation:

6/8 divided by 2/2 equals 3/4

And 3/4 x 2/2 equals 6/8

Hope this helps :)

Answer:

They drank the same amount of milk

Explanation:

Equivalent Fractions

Given the fractions

(a)/(b), \ (c)/(d)

They are equivalent if:

(a)/(b)= (c)/(d)

Using cross-multiplication:

ad = bc

We are given Gabriela drank 3/4 of her glass of milk and Jenny drank 6/8 of hers. If both glasses were the same size, we can find if they drank the same amount of milk by proving:

(3)/(4)= (6)/(8)

Using cross-multiplication:

3*8 = 4*6

Since 24 = 24 is true, we can say they drank the same amount of milk
