The question states Rich wrote this to describe the total distance he was going to bike in two days. So since there is a variable there, that means he doesn't know what that is yet, so he dosen't know how far he will bike today. Then theres a plus so he is adding. Then the 7 is the distance he will ride tomorrow. So the sum must be the distance he rode in the next two days. Therefore; B must be correct.
