A computer lab is a space which provides computer services to a defined community or users.Computers in the lab are typically equipped with internet access while scanners and printers may augment the lab value.
LAN (local area network) topology is a computer network that interconnects computers in a limited area such as computer labs. The requirements are computers ,networking cables,RJ45s,climping machine, switches, software and the IP address. There can be run only the required applications intended for a certain purpose. There are also rules and regulations which are set to restrict users from visiting unnecessary sites which are against the law.

We can setup a standalone network for a computer Laboratory. The requirements are computers, network cables, switch, softwares and IP addresses. Computer engineers can configure these computers with defined users access and restrictions. We can run only the required applications intended for this purpose. We can also define rules and policy in the computer Lab where we can restrict unnecessary sites.
