EQUATION 1) 2x - 3y = -4
EQUATION 2) 7x + 9y =- 5

Multiply the whole first equation by 3 so that we could find the values of X first.

1) 3(2x - 3y = -4)

1) 6x-9y=-12
2) 7x+9y=-5

Add the 2 equations together.
13x=-17
x=-17/3 OR -5 2/3

2x-3y=-4

Plug the value of X into the equation.

2(-17/3) -3y=-4

-11 1/3 - 3y=-4

-3y=-4+11 1/3

-3y=22/3

y=-22/9 OR -2 4/9

~Hope I helped!~
