To find the scale factor use the next formula:


sf=\frac{dimension\text{ }new\text{ }shape}{dimension\text{ }original\text{ }shape}

Use dimension of corresponding sides AB and ED:


sf=(2)/(4)=(1)/(2)

Then, the scale factor is 1/2
