the slope can be found by taking two points and putting them in this equation:


(y_(2)-y_(1) )/(x_(2)- x_(1) )

so using the first two points, the equation would be


(2-(-1) )/(2-1)

giving you 3 for the slope

the y-intercept (where x=0) is found by subtracting 3 from -1 which is -4.
