The answer is A. To attract a mate
Peacock's tail feathers are colorful and each peacock's colors are different. They use these colors to catch the attention of a mate. The more colored and the bigger feathered males attract more females for mating.

A. to attract a mate. The bigger and the more colorful the feathers the more attractive the male is to females.
