let me just give you a brief answer when in a abusive relationship or life threatening situation its hard to find help, when a women is in a abusive relationship people have the opinion of "well just leave" they cant. most women are killed after they left, our justice system does not keep us safe a restraining order does not keep us safe and alive, the police are not always going to be willing to help. I've seen women have to change their entire identities because they minute they are in danger so is their family.
