What is the connotative meaning of the word childlike in this sentence?

The answer is C: showing uninhibited curiosity.

Childlike means to have qualities that are typical of a child (innocence, trust, simplicity etc). Far from displaying a lack of maturity, acting silly or juvenile, much less revealing detrimental ignorance, Liam manifests genuine effort to understand more about the job, and he does that by asking questions that reflect his dedication and not an ulterior motive.
