Read the passage.

Mom thinks that I’m a chronic slob. My room has always been a mess because I never clean it. Mom nags me to straighten up my room, but I like it the way it is. It may seem like a mess to her, but the way that I have my room organized makes perfect sense to me. I’ve compiled a mental list of the room’s furnishings. My desk chair holds my dirty clothes. The dresser in the corner is piled with my school books. One side of the bed is covered with clean towels and laundry that I never fold or put away. I always know where to find my things, so I don’t think it’s messy at all!
