first find the values of f(x) when x = -2 and x = 5 :-
f(-2) = (-2)^2 + 2(-2) + 3 = 3
f(5) = 25 + 10 + 3 = 38

AVERAGE RATE OF CHANGE = [ f(5) - f(-2) ] / [ 5 -(-2)]
= 38- 3 / 7
= 35/7 = 5
