slope = (3 - 4) / (4 - 0) = -1/4

y = mx + b
slope(m) = -1/4
use either of ur points...(0,4)...x = 0 and y = 4
now we sub and find b, the y int
4 = -1/4(0) + b
4 = b

so ur equation is : y = -1/4x + 4
