A rectangular room needs 120 square feet of carpet. The width of the room is 2 feet less than its length. Find the length and width of the room.

Assuming 120 is the area of the room, 10 x 12 = 120, which area equals length x width. Going by the details given, the width of the room would be 10 ft and the length of the room would be 12 ft.
