Hope i am not wrong
f(x)=4x+1
g(x)=x^2-5
(f-g)(x)=f(x)-g(x)
(f-g)(x) =4x+1-x^2+5
-(x^2-6-4x)
solve it for x

(4x+1)-(x^2-5)=
4x+1-x^2+5=
-x^2+4x+6
