you have to times .4 by 2s and 4 u get .8 and 1.6 you subtract 1.6 from 4.8 then divide the answer by .8 and you have your answer hope it helps

0.4(2s+4)=4.8 ...distribute
0.8s+1.6=4.8 ...subtract 1.6 from both sides
0.8s=3.2 ...divide both sides by 0.8
s=4
The answer is s=4.
